I got one of these cards with a $100 load and was told it could only be used to purchase gas. I made two purchases of $20 each totaling $40. But tried to use it today at several convenience stores and everyone told me these cards are worthless once you use a few dollars off it and that I am lucky to have been able to access $40 of the $100. I tried to access their website and a message came up stating I had been blocked because I was typing at a much higher rate than any human could type and there is a robot on my network hahahaahah. Toss that useless plastic card in the trash.

I received prepaid Visa Card, activated it and made three transactions on amazon.pl website. Card original ballance was 250$, and after my transactions 188$ letf. Now I am unable to pay at any website, my amazon account is blocked due to unusual activity, and there is no answer for my email. I am left with unusable prepaid card.

Absolutely horrible. I got this prepaid card for a Goodyear rebate. The card was supposed to have $50 on it, but it only had $34.11 on it. I tried to call the company, but it just put me in a loop of pressing buttons over and over again and ending up back at the same menu that I started with. Apparently, there is no way to ever speak to a human, either, or even to email anyone. I know now not to ever think I'm getting a deal with a company that offers a rebate. I've spent more of my time trying to resolve this issue than I ever got out of the card. Since time is money, this rebate now has a negative value.

Well, received a rebate on one of these cards. Good luck using it literally anywhere. Every vendor anywhere requires a zip code to match the billing info. These cards have no billing info. They just stick your money in limbo until the card expires. I haven't been able to use it anywhere. I can't even transfer it to anything. I guess i have to manually type it in at a register, where (again) it will ask for a zip code.

What a joke. I want my money.

Horrible company! I recieved a virtual card from a settlement but could not use it anywhere so I requested a physical card. I never got it and card now expired with $1.67 cents left on it due to them draining it all on fees. I never got to use my own money except to give it all to them.

I got one of these cards from a class action settlement. It took me days to figure out how to get the money in some form I could use. I THINK I have it figured out. I used the prepaid debit card to buy an Amazon gift card, sent to myself, in the exact same amount as was on the card. I say I think I have it solved because it still shows as pending on the prepaid site, though Amazon did send me the gift card. I tried to use the app that was suggested by the prepaid company, but Google Play says it is for an older version of Android. How useless is that? These class action suits need to use a different method to pay out. My Prepaid Center stinks.

My card expired one month ago, unused. Called the customer hotline and waited through all the "call back" request until I had a live agent. No problem to issue a new card, I just had to tell them how much was on the original card - the agent said he doesnt now the balance of the expired card, only the system knows and if he puts in the right number and it machtes, I get a new one.

Right. The amount was a credit back from Florida Blue Shield Blue Cross. So much for them using prepaidcenter, I will switch my health insurer instead.

Feels like a scam. I got a prepaid amount for some work I did and shortly after they 're-issued' me a new card due to 'irregular activity', but I haven't even used the card, and the new card couldn't be located in my account.

There's also no email or alternative way to contact them, except via phone-call.

I think they could be cheating their partners by charging them, but then creating challenges so i can't claim payout the amount I'm owed.

The puzzle to activate my card was hilariously hard. I was told to look at six different puzzles with animals facing different directions and chose the option that had the animals facing the same direction as the arrow that was also on the image. You have to do this six times. If you pick the right images you are told you didn't do it in time. If you go too fast and pick one image wrong it doesn't work either.

Next, I tried the audio option. I was forced to listen to three horrible electronic tunes and pick the ones that were most "sad". I had to do this 5-6 times. Upon completion of this lovely exercise I received a 404 message. I went through the exercise again and was told I tried the audio challenge too many times.

Every request I had and I had very reasonable requests, I got NO as an answer.

Card gets declined - sorry, we looked at your history and your card should work. But it didn't!
My daily limit is $1000, but even $565 got declined.
I asked to fix the limit issue - no sorry, we can't.
Asking a tracking number for the replacement card - no we don't issue tracking numbers.
Asking to replace plastic card with virtual, since there is no tracking and i don't want it to be lost in mail - the answer is no again.

I was offered no solution. This whole experience feels like im dealing with the fraud company.
Who knows how long will it take for me to recieve the card! Or if I even will be getting another card. I have no way of tracking it in the mail, and I'm worried that it won't come to me at all.
My balance and my purchase history disappeared from my account. It is like this card never existed. This whole scenario is very suspicious to me.

I was sent a code to active, activated my account but now it won't let me access the card anymore with the code and it doesn't appear when I sign in with my email address? So this was a code where I could LOOK AT a theoretical $50 ONCE?

Also, you can only use the code for less than it's worth or the EXACT amount less - you can't use it up fully basically UNLESS, and this is obviously my recommendation, you buy a gift card to another store for the exact amount this is worth. That's what I was planning to do but looks like I'll never get this $50 anyway.

Companies that use these for rebates - TOTALLY SCAMMY. This is a breakage model. They're selling you something telling you you'll get "money" back but either you never actually get the money, or they know you won't be able to use all of it so they keep the difference. What bullshit - not to mention a waste. This doesn't exist to solve a problem or help anyone, just to create a worthless company that profits off lying and stealing.

I received a digital Mastercard debit card in the amount of $18.90 as my payment from a class action lawsuit. I tried using it to purchase something on Amazon, thinking Amazon would apply the funds from the Mastercard, and use my backup card for the balance.

I learned that this Mastercard DECLINES if the item costs more than the balance on the card, so my item was paid in full by my backup card.

In order to use the funds on this Mastercard, I have to find an item that costs exactly $18.90. I settled for a less expensive item, as I'm sure most recipients do, and I am wondering who gets the balance from all of those debit cards? The company, I imagine.

I called this number 833-249-7650 (it was on the original email I received about the Mastercard) and I asked them to send me a check for the balance, and for an address where I can send a complaint. I was told my case would have to be "escalated" and that someone would have to get back to me. Agent: "We're not the company, we just provide support." I had to give her my name, address, phone & email, which I now regret, as they will probably just sell my data.

Someone, please investigate this elusive company. They do not make it possible for people to use the funds they won in the lawsuit. Navigating their website and calling customer service is extremely frustrating. I am sure this company profits tremendously from the unused funds on all of the people cannot access.

I had the same problem with two class action settlement cards. I called because both of my cards were being rejected. The women at their "contact us" phone number informed me that the cards were locked out for some reason and she would be emailing me with two new card numbers within 24 hours. Five days later, I still haven't received the email. Get a clue.

Helpful to know. I just got an email saying I had a card for the Equifax data breach settlement of $ 5.12. After solving 2 frog puzzles - what am I back in 2nd grade- I read the fine print and found that if I didn't use the card regularly within 6 months, I would be CHARGED $5.68. Does that mean they will send me a bill for 56 cents? From all I am hearing here and all the personal detail they want from me to get the $5.12 settlement card I wouldn't be surprised to get a bill. I'd send them the 56 cents on a virtual card purchased from their site as a business issuing cards through them. So then, being their business client i get to make the teems and hurdles that they too can experience the same hoops and difficulties. Think that a call to their customer service would straighten out the hurdles? If they didn't use the card, my fee would be $6.00 - which I'd probably never see. As much as i hate to see it, i guess the settlement lawyers or mypraidcardcenter will get the $5.12 as I think I'll pass.

I received a settlement payment from a class action lawsuit and a prepaid online MasterCard from this company was my only payment option. To activate the virtual card and obtain the card information, I was forced to complete a maddeningly complicated matching dice captcha (find a matching pair of icons out of 30 different dice, some of which are upside down and in dark shadows, six times in a row) - a deliberately near-impossible task specifically designed to make you fail. I had to do this 12 times. Then I had to wait for verification codes that expire in 15 minutes to be emailed to me- again, 12 times- but the first 11 codes expired before I received them. There are many, many complaints from cardholders that the prepaid cards have a ridiculously short expiration date, and cards frequently expire before the balance can be used. The fees are exorbitant , unreasonable, and hidden in such fine print you'll never see them: they charge you to convert the online card to a plastic one, to use it at an ATM, to transfer funds to another card, to send a paper statement, to use it in foreign transactions, to replace a lost card, the list goes on & on. Forget about customer service or finding an answer in their FAQs- the search function on the website is broken. It appears everything about these cards is deliberately designed to prevent you from activating them and using the funds. Perhaps they get a kickback from the issuing merchants based on a percentage of the funds that go unclaimed? I can think of no other reason for this company to exist.

If you can stay away from this company. Given the 2020 Covid situation we ended up having our card expire. The Myprepaidcenter.com website says to call them for an expired card to get the card re-issued. Well, you call but you never get an option to actually talk with someone. You can go round and round with the menu options but never to talk with anyone. Have tried several times all numbers - same thing over and over. You cannot talk with anyone. Now they just simply take out a monthly fee and I watch my balance get lower and lower each month. Worst company I have ever tried to deal with. Great way for a company to make unearned money though. Hah.

A sham worst experience ever.. misrepresentation on the card with "funds never expire" then have an expiration date then wesite that states you can get remaining balance by contact customer service which you can not reach..
they do not allow you to get unused funds back.. impossible to reach anyone
not sure what is done with the "expired funds" which are supposedly refundable to owner of the card..they probably keep the funds!!!!
I question why companies use this firm are they not aware of the game being played including card issuers like Visa

such an unprofessional company. have a balance of over $1000 on card. go to use it and its rejected. go online to transfer funds to my bank account. error message. how about letting users know you have cancelled the card and reissued one and that it takes 7-10 days to arrive?? or a number to call rather a error message when transfers wont go through. sounds like a lot of fraud going on with this company given they just cancel cards and reissue without notice. i work in a business whereby money is dropped on these cards for work performance. i can safely say 10+ people i work with are experiencing the same issue. not one courtesy notice from this lame company.

They make it super complicated to get a hold of them. I waited on the line over an hour and then they just hung up on me. I think the business plan is to make very difficult for customers to reach them so that they give up and MyPrepaidCenter keeps the balance on the card.

I am beyond frustrated with MyPrepaidCards....It is impossible to get any type of real person on the phone to assist you. The so-call site after you register, is impossible to bypass that annoying "verify that you are real" touch moon & cone. I've had the card with a $250 Balance and can not get anyone on the phone to tell me where I can use the damn card.....even though it has the fake mastercard symbol on it. Please if you are going to issue cards out, at least make the process painless to use.

I need to know where this PrePaidMaster can be use. Not good for gas stations.

Whatever you do, don’t let your card expire! With nearly any company, an expired card is an easy issue to resolve. Call the number on the back and have a new card issues for a small fee. Not with myprepaidcenter.com. My card expired with a $300 balance and they refused to issue me a new card claiming “the funds expire with the card” So now I’m SOL and they are $300 richer. Avoid this company at all costs!

Seems like a money scam. They sell cards, but keeping all the money in their account and in the end the card expires, and they collect the cash for themselves. Sad that nothing has been done by officials to stop this from happening. They don´t have any real Service/Support, only automated call center which can´t help in any problems.

No ability to reach customer service. I attempted to check balance on my card; after entering the information multiple times it looped me back to the starting point. FAQs/Customer Service link give no phone number except the automated card activation #. I have a card with a balance that will expire as I cannot use it or resolve the issue of it not working at merchants. I received this card as part of a tire rebate at Discount Tire. Horrible promotion and this will influence my decision to use them in the future.

I called myprepaidcenter at 1888-3712109 because gift cards in California DO-NOT expire even if there is a expiration date.
All the prompts on this phone number give you everything but the correct line to dispute or request reactivation.
I went on line and there is nothing there regarding the same subject.
They do want all you information to bombard you with promotions with card services. I tried Yelp but Yelp does not list them

Got an email that I had qualified for a class action settlement via My Prepaid. After a couple hours of trying to get anything registered, I gave up. The My Prepaid site is a complete disaster. Tried clearing, moving to a different computer and tablets, made no difference. So I wrote them a complaint, it's got to be all my fault. At least that's what they say. That it took better than a week to respond, I'm guessing they're backed up in that area. So word to the wize, don't bother with this site.

I eventually opted to choose the option for a lost/stolen card. I was able to speak with someone, who sent me a new card. I was able to activate the card on the site and used immediately. Do not let the card expire. Activate and use it right away.

Horrible service. I received a card for a rebate from an appliance purchase (Bosch). I tried to use it as a credit card at point of service locations (as instructed). Was regularly rejected because I needed to enter a PIN and I had not established or received one.

I called customer service. They said they could not assist with PIN and gave me another automated number to call to establish a PIN. I called automated number, entered my card number multiple times and the system said it could not find my info to establish a PIN. The auto number told me to call customer service and disconnected.

I called customer service and told them the problem. Customer service told me they could not help me with my PIN and to call the automated number. Customer Service hung up on me. This occurred multiple time so it was not just the representative I was assigned. This is a company policy to not help.

I think it would be nice to know what the (____) this card is. If its not a scam , boy does it present itself as a SCAM. Be just a little more open about what this card is. And maybe the rebate that it truly represents won't send the consumer back to where it all started at.
Respectfully: Hide-and-go-seek !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Riddle me this: How does a Prepaid card arrived with an expired expiration date?

Answer: When it's coming via MyPrepaidCenter.com. Attempting to contact a human being on any of the numbers that have listed is futile. They all go to the same automated system that you get caught in a loop.

The worst company that our company can ever use. I filled out for my card 5 weeks ago only to get it and its closed cause their system closed out all cards due to an error. Now have to wait another 2 weeks for a card I already waited 5 weeks for. I had to call just to get a reissued card at that. SMH

Received this card, been trying to activate it for three weeks.
Attempting to activate the card only shows "Try Again Later."
There is no way to contact a human to figure out the activation issue, the phone numbers are useless.
This is clearly so MyPrepaidCenter can keep those funds.
Who's ever running this company should be fined and shutdown.

Blackhawk Engagement Solutions is the owning entity for myprepaidcenter.com, also goes by many other names such as Hawn Incentives, OmniCard, Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc., Gift Card Mall.com, Blackhawk Network, Inc. and Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc.

I searched them on BBB and found a phone number for a physical office. I was able to reach a person on a call who was able to help me out. Phone number is (972) 538-7200 or (925) 226-9990.

As others noted, tried following the directions to activate online, no go. Tried calling the number on the card: First time said “transferring you to the activation menu” then hung up on me. Second time left me on hold for 15 minutes ... then hung up on me. If you don’t have a substantial amount on the card or have plenty of free time to be on hold or try calling repeatedly, knock yourself out. Otherwise, not worth it at all.

I have tried to reach this company both by computer and phone. I have not found a way to activate this card. On the computer on the profile every time I am finished and push the I am not a robot and activate # something I have entered mysteriously disappears to it will not go forward. Then I went to the phone and used two different nmbers as I noticed reading some of the other people had different phone numbers on their cards. My number is 1-800-733-7152. That just gives you a runaround and no one to complain to and there is no info on activation unless it is prompt 4 which they say is not working and to call back later.

Not only did it take them 4-5 months to send me the $20 mail in rebate, it arrived EXPIRED. Card Number 4027 1260 5118 0317, EXP 10/17, code 767. Their website says: "Do the card funds ever expire?
No. Funds are available upon request after the card expiration date. To obtain funds, call Customer Service at 1-877-610-1075." So I called and all I got was a recording and some address to mail in another "request". This is after all the hoops I have already jumped thru to get the rebate in the first place. They do this stonewall bureocratic crap on purpose, to rip off consumers that give up. I have also since moved, old original mailing address of 3531 Zappa way, Santa Rosa, CA. New address is 2136 Home Avenue, Klamath Falls, Oregon, 97601 (541) 239-2275

Same run-around from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield offering $25 for getting my annual physical. Got the card today with SIX PAGES of information. The person who conceived this ought to be demoted to the basement to do something useful for the company. I could not get "the complete list of merchants by visiting the website on the back of the card: MyPrepaidCenter.com. Has cost me 62 minutes on line and on the phone. Thanks a lot for such a great gift. They should have postalmailed a check for $25.

I absolutely hate this card. I don't understand how they give out a card, yet tell you where you can shop at. They don't let you put the money on any bills including your cable bill which I cant understand why. Most of the stores are not in my area or maybe I just don't like the stores that accept the card. I am very upset and just because of this card will not refer anybody to deal with Verizon.

45 minutes of wasted time as it kept saying "this page is not available."
I recall going through this the last time I tried to activate one of these cards 6 months ago. Seems like they can not or do not wish to fix their problem. Called the number on the back of the card, customer service, and it was activated in 4 minutes.

Received a Visa Debit card as a rebate for a store promotion. However, when attempting to activate the card, I was unable to even find the site, shown on the card as: MyPrepaidCenter.com. So now I have a worthless card, since I can't even get it activated! There should also be a phone number to use, rather than only a website. As a result of this negative experience, I will NEVER again purchase anything that offers this type of a rebate!

There is an 800 number on the back of the card that you can call to activate the card, set up your pin number, etc. I know the writing on the back of the c card is very small, but you should read it!

I pity anyone who receives money via my prepaid. The website is NOT mobile friendly, you have to create a profile to find out where you can use the card, the list of retailers is pitiful and there is no way to get the site to help you remember your login credentials!!!!

Card activation worked online. Was able to use card in a retail location but is not accepted by Google Play Store. Called Customer Service number and followed prompts and record told me to go online. Nothing online to help fix the problem. Sure would be nice if they had an email address for support.

I called the 800 number on my card and all you get is about an activated card. I tried many times to register online and every time I pressed the activation button a different part of my profile was deleted. So I thought I would call the 800 number and the option for all other problems press 5 which was a runaround and said to press 9 to repeat. There is no way to talk to a human as far as I can tell. My card is for $150.

Tried the website several times and got no where. Read several other websites that offered prepaid activations thinking I was on the wrong website. I waited a month and tried again and after reading a review here I used the 1-800 # on the back of the card and was done in a few mins. Mine came from Sentinel Brand Products.... I assume the website is not put together right to do what it is intended to accomplish for the consumer.
