I scheduled a massage with a therapist that reached out to me, Jodi, (LMT). She asked for a deposit to hold the appointment, $100, I have done this in the past so it all seemed reasonable and sent it through on PayPal. Then the next morning she asked for $150 to be put on a credit card to be used as insurance and would be returned to me, “if no harm was done on my part”. At that point I said no thank you I would like to cancel the massage and have my money returned through PayPal. That was two days ago, and I haven’t heard back from her yet even though I have sent her four messages. I have followed through with PayPal, who has opened a case, and I have also contacted Thervo, but haven’t heard from them yet. Extremely disappointed. Do not use Thervo!
I wish there were negative stars.

If you should ever need a will or the legal advise regarding probate issues or advanced directives be sure to contact Attorney Ken Walton in South Florida. He took complicated legalize and addressed them in understandable terms. He protected my interests and those of my beneficiaries. I highly recommend his expertise.

Well I'm a consumer who actually used Thervo to find a massage 'therapist'. I got maybe 5 hits. I accepted "Jorge's Massage" and after a few texts he tells me he's available after 7pm blah blah blah. I disclosed i was a gay man because of a prior experience, thinking that it was a one time thing from someone who was stuck in the past. I also asked about massaging both my partner and I. Guess what? He stopped texting. Then he suddenly became unreachable. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT HOMOPHOBIA IS STILL A THING THESE DAYS. I contacted Thervo to report his discriminatory behavior and they got back with some robo automated message. Never posted my review about this guy Jorge, never apologized for his actions, nothing. This company is fostering discrimination against the LGBTQ community. People need to know that this isn't right. Btw, after looking into them a little more, it seems that the massage therapists are NOT licensed, AND some are using thervo's platform to perform sexual acts for additional money. Now that i know this, i will not be using this platform. Jorge was probably looking to have sex or something and obviously not gay so refused to do the professional thing and just massage as advertised regardless of the clients sexual orientation.

As a Male Massage Therapist, my time is valuable. I receive request for male clients requesting only a Female Therapist. Thermo has been informed that I have no Female Therapist at my location. I've been paying them for nothing. I'll be unsubscribing. It's not worth it to me.

This is what I experience. I send a potential client a message. The potential client never even views the message. I get to use the Thervo credit again for a future potential client. And that pattern happens over and over again. How can that be that the potential client never even views the message. I can see not responding to the message, but never viewing the message. Something's wrong with that when the potential client never even views the message.

I have paid Thervo fees twice for hypnotherapy clients and never received one paid referral. It's now several years later, no funds that I'm aware of have ever been returned. In my opinion they bait with emails and I'm not sure if there are any real clients.

I actually had two clients from Thervo within the first month or so. After that, no takers. I’m debating whether or not to buy more credits. I think I bought like 20 credits so at least I got my money back.

I have been with Thervo for many months. I wonder if they are real or not. I get request and none of them ever become clients but never contact me back. I have started to offer a free 15 minute session to see if we could have a conversation. One phone # that was given to me - I called and they said they or no one in their home had contacted Thervo. Is this company sending out at random false names and interest - just to keep us the coaches and teachers thinking that we have the possibility of getting new clients - sure feels that way when 100% of the people they send, never call me or follow through. I'm cancelling today.

I have had several requests from thervo but no one responds back to me. A total waste of my time and money. I do not over charge clients and I’m amazing at my job. I find I don’t need thervo. I have an amazing amount of clientele without advertising. If your god people spread the word. Sorry thervo but this was a disappointment

An appalling service!!. They take you money. The client doesn't respond, and they don't refund you the subscriptions that you have paid. I have been asking for my money back and they won't give it to me. That's hardly good business ethic!!!

I seem to get numerous inquiries. It seems, I pay to quote and then get nothing back. I feel like it is a bit of a scam, they track my responses and all of a sudden I've been getting multiple requests that seem identical but with different name and geographic area. I just re-upped my account and now regret it. Will be considering looking for a refund.

I've been using them for a year. I have had two bids turn into "clients" - one was because I desperately low balled my services during a very quiet week, and the client turned into a real needy client, the type that needed WAY more than described before I gave a quote. The second person was a dud. Never paid. I am going to stick with word of mouth referrals, that is how I have made a successful business this year despite Covid.

Bid on a client?

Honey, we are PROFESSIONALS, this company is an scam, period!

They're NOT clients, they're PATIENTS seeking the help of a professional like us!

Worse, Thervo call them customers, that's a true insult!

We have gone years upon years of school giving everything we got to call call the people we work with clients, or worth "customers." Please let's start referring them as PATIENTS, NOT CLIENTS OR CUSTOMERS

I have contacted them multiple times about their "referrals" and demanded a refund which I was informed I will receive. I questioned the legitimacy of not including phone numbers of "prospective clients" and this is the response I rec'd: "just to let you know, in the past, we tried requiring customers to indicate their phone number but we found it lead to less referrals and this does not really ensure quality referrals. Some people prefer to keep their number private and share it only with the pro or business they decide to hire." This is my response: "In regards to your reply about " we tried requiring customers to indicate their phone number but we found it lead to less referrals and this does not really ensure quality referrals." No way, Jose. This is in no way reflective of my industry. People do not decide to "hire" counselors based on written info they read online. They want to speak with the counselor/therapist and we in turn want to screen prospective clients via phone."

If I could give Thervo negative five stars, I would. Little to no realistic customer service, difficult to contact, no street address. As a therapist, you have to pay for quotes and referrals - of which are also going out to your direct competitors. There is not one defining service this outrageous company offers that can distinguish me from my competitors with Thervo. I would basically be paying for my competitors to have referrals as well. I demanded this company discontinue my profile within 48 hours or I will file a formal written complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas and my state's attorneys general. You are literally better off finding your own clients.

Thervo is not designed to actually connect consumers with reputable businesses. I know because I was dumb enough to pay them to buy some of their referral "credits". As a business owner in Thervo, when you do receive a "referral", you're expected to send them a "quote" for your services with virtually no information whatsoever about the prospective customer. In addition - any successful business owner knows that only an idiot would give a price for something before even making a presentation (or even meeting or speaking with the prospect). Even dumber, the consumer is told that they will be receiving a "customized quote" from businesses. There's nowhere near enough information collected or shared to produce a custom quote for anything. The end game of Thervo is sell these "referral credits" to business owners based on the lie that they can expect quality referrals. As a matter of fact, it's based on the lie that Thervo ALREADY has a quality referral to share with them. They don't, but you don't find that out until after they've charged your credit card.

It looks like a computer tech made a Carbon Copy of Thumbtack (which is a decent service) but has no clue how to execute it and wants to ride it out without any input, support and decency.
He wants you to put the money in for a membership but when support is needed and further communication he shows you a finger and disappears.

thumbtack is not a decent service! It is the exact same thing! Why in god's name would anyone bid for customers or look on thumbtack for a professional when you can go to yelp or google and get/post the same info?

I was using Thumbtack a couple of years back with really good success, but they changed the way they collected leads where the searchers didn't realize they were requesting quotes and everything went to garbage.

Thervo looks identical to Thumbtack, so not sure if it's a rip-off or spin-off, but I gave up on Thumbtack for the reason mentioned above. The leads are weak!

I send an email asking to cancel the account and they gave me more credits and a list of things to do to drum up business, completely ignoring the request to cancel my account and disregarding the source of my complaints.
